  We had some time this weekend before our showing of Avengers: Age of Ultron, so we decided to peruse the food court at Puente Hills Mall.  China Max looked promising, and Kathy had told me the food was decent, so we decided to come here.
  
  Yes, the food is a bit healthier than at most Chinese fast food places, and they give you a lot for the price, but why does it seem so... bland?  I went with a two-item combo of pepper steak and kung pao chicken with chow mein and fried rice, and Kathy had a 1-item bowl with fish in a black bean sauce - and to be honest, my lady's order actually tasted better than mine.  (Granted, she paid a dollar extra for seafood, but in this case it was worth it.)
  
  Not only that, they charge .50 per soda refill, and if you want fortune cookies, it's a dollar per bag of 8.  Talk about nickel and diming...

  I went to this place after I was feeling hungry from visiting round 1 and I needed something to eat. Theres a lot of food choices in the food court in the mall and ample seating after ordering your food. But I decided to try this place out and give this place a try. Everything here looks good and got beef broccoli and orange chicken with half and half.  When I got the food its a good serving but the problem was that its a bit bland and the coloring is on the lighter side. It maybe because I guess they cook their food differently. For me in my opinion its ok but definitely not something to take note into for something Id try again when Im there. Staff is nice otherwise a little below average for chinese food and place is clean. Maybe Ill give something else a try and give this a second chance because places do need second chances to redeem themselves.

  The portion size was amazing, the lady in front just kept adding food. I think the taste is good and the egg rolls are bomb. If you're in the mall I would recommend trying it.

  Tons of food and a great price! You pay double the price at Panda Express and get half the food. This place also tastes way better. Great place to drop by for quick eats when shipping at the mall!

  The quality of the food is far fetched even from fast food, if you happen to be near this place don't even bother to order there, the quality will disappoint you.
